Can I drive the golf cart to South Padre Island, Port Isabel or Starbase?
No. Carts are for use only inside Long Island Village. Golf carts are not allowed on Port Isabel or South Padre streets, and leaving the village is illegal for golf carts and voids the rental.
Can I use the cart to watch a Starship launch?
Yes, inside the village. Long Island Village is across the water from SpaceX Starbase, and guests use the cart to reach a canal-side spot in the village for a launch. The cart stays in Long Island Village. Some nights, such as launch weeks, can cost more or less than the usual rate; the booking calendar shows each night's price.
How do I book a golf cart?
Choose a cart on carts.starbnb.io, pick your dates, add your contact details, choose the Long Island Village lot and street where you are staying, sign the Release of Liability online, then pay. No account is needed. Your dates are held for 10 minutes while you sign and pay, and the reservation is confirmed when payment succeeds.
When is the cart delivered and picked up?
A rental runs from 4 PM on the start date to 11 AM on the return date, Central Time. Delivery to your lot is free and happens by 4 PM on the start date. Leave the cart at the lot by 11 AM on the return date. Nobody needs to be present for delivery or pickup.
How is the price calculated?
Carts are priced by the night, like a hotel stay: Saturday to Sunday is one night, and the return date is not charged. Each cart page shows its nightly rate, and some carts offer a weekly (7+ nights) or monthly (28+ nights) discount. Texas state and local sales tax, currently 8.25%, is added at checkout, and the total including tax is shown before you pay. You pay in full when you book; there is no separate security deposit.
What is included with the rental?
A full battery, the key, roadside concierge and free delivery to your lot. Insurance for renters is not included: StarBnB's insurance covers StarBnB, not renters or drivers, so check your own policy.
Who can drive the golf cart?
Only authorized drivers who have signed the Release. Every driver must be at least 18 and hold a valid driver's license. The renter is a driver after signing and can invite other drivers by name and email in the guest portal; each signs the same Release before driving.
What are the main rules for using the cart?
Keep the cart inside Long Island Village, follow posted speed limits and village rules, keep everyone seated within the stated seating capacity, use lights after dark, and never drive impaired. No alcohol or open containers on the cart (sealed alcohol may be carried). Keep music at a considerate volume. The full list is in the Terms of Service.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel in the guest portal until the rental starts. At least 7 days (168 hours) before the 4 PM start: 100% refund. From 48 hours to 7 days before: 50% of the rental charges. Under 48 hours: no refund. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
How do I change or check my reservation?
Sign in to the guest portal with a one-time link emailed to the address you booked with. There you can see the reservation and signed Release, request date changes, cancel, pay for changes and message StarBnB.
